Since 2003, Radiant Child trainers have been leading children’s yoga courses all over the world!

These trainers are highly qualified yoga and mindfulness educators who have extensive experience with children of all ages and abilities. Our trainers have also undergone rigorous education to provide effective learning experiences to adults. These trainers know how to seamlessly add their creative individuality to the course content while upholding the historically acclaimed Radiant Child Yoga method.

Lisa Danahy is a registered yoga therapist (C-IAYT, MS-Yoga Therapy, BA-Psychology) and advanced trainer (IAYT, Yoga Alliance, George Mason University, and state education approved) with over 35 years in the field of education. As a former school administrator and developer of early childhood educational programs and curricula, Lisa brings a unique and effective means for enhancing social-emotional development and improving health and well-being through yoga and mindfulness. Lisa specializes in making yoga an accessible and successful means for behavioral and emotional regulation, as well as physical and mental health. Lisa’s work since 1996 with children, especially those with autism, trauma, and developmental diversity, has been founded in and has supported growing research on the effectiveness of yoga therapy as a modality for social-emotional learning. She is also a published author and the founder and director of the non-profit, Create Calm. Lisa is grateful for every opportunity she has to co-create healing and healthy living with children and adults.

Sarah, a practicing physical therapist since 2006, has worked with children and their families in the hospital, at home and in schools. She has been using yoga one-on-one and in group settings with the children she treats and has seen wonderful progress with their motor control and self-confidence.

Vito has been an occupational therapist since 2004, working with children and their families in their homes and in the school system (both public and private). He has found that using yoga with the children helps them to self-calm, improving their ability to be a positive member of their classroom family and at home.

Sue is passionate about sharing the Gift of Yoga. She is energetic, radiant and loves to see how the wonder of yoga facilitates one’s true and best Self to rise.

Sue has worked with adults and children of all ages and abilities as a swim coach, high school tutor and yoga instructor for the past 30 years. She has been facilitating Radiant Child Teacher Training since 2003 in Canada and Europe. She is bilingual (French) and quite fluent in Spanish. Sue is located in Ottawa, Canada and gives training internationally.

Bridget brings her joy and laughter to everything she does, including her work with children, senior citizens and athletes in her yoga practice. As a former Special Education teacher and behavior specialist in Baltimore City, she has seen the peace, calm and confidence students gain through yoga.

Bridget now home-schools her twin children and has been a Radiant Child Yoga Instructor since 2014 and founded Child’s Heart Yoga in the greater Baltimore area.

Jean (RYT-200, RCYT, MFA Theatre, BMED) is delighted to be a Radiant Child Trainer! She has taught hundreds of children’s yoga classes using this method, and she is thrilled to teach adults how to find their unique voice as they learn to teach children’s yoga. Jean has been practicing yoga since 2000, and it has transformed her life. She values the creative challenge of being the Program Director for Create Calm and loves teaching a variety of children’s yoga classes in schools every week.

Before becoming a yoga teacher, Jean had a long-standing career in education and the arts where she enjoyed teaching music, creative movement, and theatre to children, teens, and adults. Jean has also developed and led many workshops for educators and parents throughout her career.

Masuda Mohamadi

Masuda Mohamadi is a Lead Level Kundalini Yoga Teacher Trainer and 500-hour level RYT. She first discovered Kundalini Yoga while teaching writing and outdoor living skills at the Mountain Institute in West Virginia in 2002. In her classes, Masuda creates a warm and inviting space for students to expand their awareness, discover their power, and connect with their creative essence. She finds yoga to be a powerful tool in experiencing peace, healing, and transformation.

Masuda is also a graduate of Anodea Judith’s Sacred Center Program and is the owner and director of Radiance Yoga studio in Alexandria, Virginia. She leads workshops and retreats around the world on Kundalini Yoga, Meditation and the Chakras. Masuda holds a Master’s degree in Creative Writing and a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy, both from George Mason University. She has been published in the Washington Post Magazine and featured in National Geographic Magazine.

Yuki Riley

Yuki Riley is a certified Yoga Therapist (C-IAYT) with an M.S. in Yoga Therapy from Maryland University of Integrative Health. She holds countless other certifications including Yin Yoga with Bernie Clark, Svastha Therapy Yoga with Dr. Ganesh Mohan, Therapeutic Wisdom with Doug Keller, Anatomic Pelvis Yoga Method with Katsunori Uchida, Prenatal, YoKids, and Trauma Informed Yoga. She has also participated in CrossFit since 2007 and completed 7 Marine Corps marathons. Yuki is a lead teacher for multiple 200-hour trainings and works with private clients to address chronic pain, cancer, long-covid, and various autoimmune diseases.

Yuki was born and raised in Tokyo, Japan where she learned the following quote which she believes describes the essence of teaching yoga, cherishing every opportunity we have to come together to cultivate mental calmness and balance: “一期一会: Ichigo Ichie” which means, “once in a lifetime encounter.”
