Hope you don’t mind a few posts about food….that’s where my brain is these past few days.  You might be thinking “Ok, she’s thinking about all the food she can’t have on this 10 day cleanse.”  But you would be wrong.  I don’t have time to think about that.  I am so busy making Liver Flush cleanse drinks (certainly does feel like a flush, or a rush, when drinking the citrus mixed with garlic, cayenne, olive oil, ginger), buying green vegies for the next three days–greens only–and then….enjoying the fresh, luscious creations I am making.  Here’s one I made the other day.  Enjoy.  And if you want to start the cleanse, you can get 10% off using the Radiant Child code on www.thecleanse.com.

Red Quinoa with Sweet Potato Cubes

Cook quinoa in water, 2:1

Add dice-sized cubes of sweet potato (Trader Joe’s has sw. potato in shape of fries, easy to cut)

Cook with sm amount Celtic Sea Salt for 15-20 min.

Meanwhile…

Cashew Pesto

soak raw cashews for at least 2 hours, put in food processor with:

fresh basil, garlic, onion, salt, olive oil

Add to Quinoa dish to taste.

(Quick nutritional facts:  Quinoa is a super-grain, high in usable protein, soaked nuts are easier to digest, onion and garlic are for cleansing and purifying)
