Radiant Child YoKid 95 hour and

Radiant Child Family Yoga 200 hour

Yoga Alliance approved Teacher Training Programs

Summer Intensive July 19- August 2, 2010

Radiant Child Yoga  of Northern VA, and YoKid of Washington DC have collaborated to provide a comprehensive, creative, and enlightened yoga teacher training program centered around children and family yoga.

The way it works is this---Those who are RYT-200 will complete the 95 hour Radiant Child YoKid Teacher Training as given below.

Those who are not yet RYT-200 will fulfill the SAME requirements as the 95 training.  Additionally they will continue on with 105 more hours in the form of 4 more sessions.  This is the Radiant Child Family Yoga training as given below

Note that the 95 hour training will become active once Yoga Alliance announces the creation of the children’s yoga specialty.

Outside requirements:

It is required that the student complete at least RCYP 1-2 and the first module of YoKid training before attending the Intensive.  It is preferable that the student complete ALL of the following requirements before attending the Intensive:

·         Radiant Child Yoga levels 1-3.  To be taken at any location, applies retroactively for RCY courses taken with Shakta Khalsa from 2008 onward.  See www.childrensyoga.com for schedule.

·         YoKid Basic training (20 hours).  To be taken separately at any location.  See www.yokid.org for schedule.

The following requirement is to be completed toward the END of the in-class portions of the 95/200 hour trainings---

·         Radiant Child YoKid Apprenticeship program (25 hours) is a non-classroom portion of the training.  See www.yokid.org for details.

It is good to note that the 95 and 200-hour trainings include a mentoring/hands on component that is more than double the amount of hours required for a 200-hour training program.
